Jonathan Scharff
Senior Director | Insights & Strategic Planning @ Avoq
Jonathan specializes in policy and data-driven public affairs, campaign development, and geopolitical risk insights. He analyzes dynamics among the private sector, the regional economy, infrastructure, and government policy to advise client strategy. For two consecutive years, Jonathan has been recognized by Insider NJ as a top 100 policymaker in New Jersey. He brings his experience in policy and data analytics to Avoq’s insights team and works largely on legislative, energy, infrastructure and economic development issues. He has played a pivotal role in several Avoq projects, including multiple statewide coalitions to invest in transportation infrastructure, energy industry communications and geopolitical advisory. Prior to joining Avoq, Jonathan worked at the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce as an analyst supporting government affairs operations. One of his major projects there was an economic development study that analyzed the relationship between New Jersey’s key industry sectors and state infrastructure systems. Before that, he served as an intern in the policy division at the New York City Council, working on issues such as transportation and economic development. Jonathan lives at the Jersey Shore with his wife and daughter.

He is based in Washington, D.C.

Ben Schroeter is the Director for Global Economic Policy & Strategic Engagement and a Member of the Extended Leadership Team at Booking.com. His team leads the global public policy work on competition and consumer issues, taxation, data, privacy, AI, and short-term rentals. He regularly advises Booking.com’s leadership team on the strategic implications of public policy and regulatory developments across the globe. He is based in Amsterdam.
